Well, I was sorting through some art trying to decide what to put up so as to put up *anything* here, when my computer told me to go to sleep. Honestly, it just shut off for no apparent reason. Couldn't possibly be because it's been on for the last few days straight. Nah. Clearly it's telling me to get my act together and get into bed. So I shall, and with tomorrow comes the promise of some art, and even a new vote incentive! I found a whiteboard, and I think I'll try and get a few different vote incentives up each week by drawing on the whiteboard... now I just need some batteries for my camera that aren't dead.
Also, I still haven't found my near-completed pages. My art books have not been in any of the boxes I've been told they'd be in. I'm starting to get a bit concerned, and I figure I'll just start redrawing pages. I wasn't happy with how the dialogue was fitting anyway.

Hello, friends. It's been an awfully long time, I'm afraid. Let me give you a quick recap of my excuses for not updating.
1) Work. Danged shame, it is.
2) Life. Honestly, the plot of my life has been better than any soap opera could come up with. Unfortunately, I hate soap operas.
3) Travel. Finally, a good one. I've actually been more or less completely unable to update for the last four months thanks to travelling the globe. For two and a half months I was on a wooden tall ship -- think Bluenose-esque -- sailing from Papua New Guinea through Micronesia (Chuuk), Guam, China and finally to Japan. I had an incredible time, got surprisingly little drawing done, which must be a testament to the quality of company on board, and had very little computer access at all, let alone internet. Since getting back home, though, you may be pleased to know that I've been drawing like a demon unleashed. Sadly, in my absence the art pads with the next few comics living on them were tidied away, current whereabouts unknown. I will find them, though, and hopefully you'll forgive me for posting filler art until I do.
As for this comic in particular, it's mostly an outlet for my absolute LOVE of mini-eggs. I have to say my mother was a darling, and sent me a couple of ziplock bags of mini-eggs to China; quite a feat, considering at the time it was only valentine's day, and she had to visit four or five stores to find one that was carrying them. She's a doll. xo, mom.
So, uttmost apologies.

I started feeling bad enough about not posting this page to just post without colour. Well, mostly, anyway. The idea is that this will still be temporary, until I can finish colouring the other copy (about 3 people in the crowd are coloured in that one -- and yes, those are full-body people, not heads) But for now... enjoy the semi-coloured, semi-goodness that I feel is barely an update. (no, I don't have a Piro complex....) No more colour for a bit, and we'll see how I do with updating

Here's the deal: normally I'm crap at colouring (musta failed that kindergarten course) so although I'd love to do all colour strips, logic dictates I can't. However, my success with this piece (success being I like how it looks and it only took me about an evening to do) made me think:
"Hey! Maybe I should do the next comic in colour!" :D!

...I had to choose a crowd picture to do that on, didn't I? ... in my defence, it *is* a fairly important comic (or at least a big one) so I might as well. And it's half done already... just... all the tedious people....
I have plans to do one other comic in teh near future in colour, but B&W will have to be the norm for now, for good reason, I think.
Be looking for the next installment in the next few days (I hope) -- I work a double shift tomorrow, though, so likelihood of tomorrow is very slim.

So it's not an update, but see, I wanted to make sure I got my fan art piece done for Ganbare! Shimura-San tonight.... and then all of a sudden, after colouring the words I went "but wouldn't it be nice if it were *all* coloured...? So that took up my time instead of editing today's comic. Whoops. ...But it's shiny! And Colourful!
I will hopefully be able to get that done tonight (late... like, after midnight) orrr... more likely early tomorrow morning. :)

Arisen from the dead, it would seem! Yes, the comic is back. Yes, it is staying back. Yes, I've been working on more comics beyond this one. Yes, I will proffer excuses for the lateness.
Beginning now.
The last two months have been rather crazy-busy. Have you ever tried moving after 18 years in the same place? You'll then get an idea what the last few months have been like. Have you ever tried that move while still working 3 jobs? You'll get a better idea. Have you ever been run over by a herd of elephants? You've got me beat, but not by much. How's the afterlife working out for you?

On a more comic-based note... this one gave me heck. Firstly, I was quite happy with the pencils and went ahead and inked it all to my satisfaction... then I got looking at panel 4 again (my favorite panel) and decided while I was crazy about Milk's face, her body wasn't right still... so I redid her body. And had to re-ink that panel 3 times to get it right. After that was done, I thought it would be smooth sailing. ... HAH! *grumble* The last few panels of dialogue (basically... past "ow") refused to settle. I'm still not sure I'm happy with the result, but gosh darn it, I'm not going to make you wait any longer!

Whew! Over two months later and here I am. Many appologies for the long absence!! I don't have excuses, but I do have *some* explainations about what I've been doing. First and foremost, we've been moving (long move, very, very, very long move -- and only 2 blocks away...), and I've been juggling 2 (or 3) jobs. Next to that, I wanted to sort out the issues the site was having with Internet Explorer before I continued on posting comics. That being said, at least the next 2 and (I believe) the next 3 comics are drawn out, now I just need to edit them and get them ready for posting. Today we're hoping to finish up the moving... tomorrow might be busy too, but I'm hoping to have the next one up tomorrow (friday) night (it'll be late, that much I know). If not, we're probably looking at sunday night :( Thanks for your patience and for reading!

So theoretically the last one went up on monday (hah) and this one's going up on Tuesday. :) Woulda made it for monday except the paper managed to get exceeding amounts of extra pencil markings... making it take a whole ton longer to clean up.
Poor Milk...

Edit: I realized yesterday that I had forgotten to put in the last word bubble. Guess that's one reason why not to post a new page at 2 am :D

Appologies for the late update here, since the first comic, I fought with the layout, then went ballistic on blogger when I discovered the template wasn't allowed on an updated blog. Things turned around when I figured out how to revert to a classic template -- whew!!
Today was taken up with moving and sleeping for a few hours (unusual for me, but I guess my body wasn't made to run for 85 hours with 9 hours sleep)
The good news for you is that the monday update should be up sometime Monday, hopefully a multi-page update.

My original intention was to put up the first 4 comics at once, but for some reason I REALLY wanted to get this thing up and running on the 6th of March.
